We’re delighted to introduce Michelle, the newest member of our small but mighty team here at Read With Me! Michelle brings nearly 15 years of experience in the charity sector to her role as our new Volunteer Liaison Manager.

Michelle not only has extensive experience coordinating and managing volunteers but also hands-on experience as a volunteer reader. So, who better to ensure that our volunteers feel supported during their time with us? With over 300 volunteers and 50 schools to oversee, we’re confident that Michelle is up to the challenge!
A New Chapter Begins in Gloucester!
Michelle recently moved from Berkshire with her family and is excited to settle into the local community. As the demand for our service grows, we urgently need to expand our volunteer base so that we can help more children learn to read well. Michelle’s arrival brings a fresh perspective and plenty of new ideas that will help us to improve our service for both our volunteers and the children of Gloucestershire.
A Few Fun Facts
As someone joining a literacy-focused organisation, it’s no surprise that Michelle loves reading. Her favourite author? Sebastian Faulks! In her free time, you might find her unwinding with a good book or attempting to improve her French – though she admits it’s a work in progress.
Here’s a fun bit of trivia: Michelle used to live next door to none other than Emma Watson, the actress known for playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films. We think this magical connection fits right in with the world of children’s literacy.
