We’re excited to launch our brand new Read Together after-school sessions, running for the next five weeks across the Gloucester and Forest of Dean Children and Family Centres!

Currently, 41% of children arrive at school never having been read a story. This early disadvantage has a lasting impact on confidence, attainment and life chances. In partnership with Gloucestershire Gateway Trust and Gloucestershire Gateway Partnership, we will be providing free weekly sessions, designed to bring children and families together through the shared joy of reading.

Each session includes group storytime, a themed craft activity, snack break and books to take home – all in a relaxed, welcoming space that helps children wind down after school and encourages them to spend this time positively.

Sessions will run from 3:15pm-4:30pm, on the same day each week, making it easy for families to incorporate into their routines.
