Last Sunday, our team of 35 runners gathered on the start line, proudly sporting their neon yellow Read With Me t-shirts, ready to take on the Gloucester 10k. Together, they created a brilliant sea of colour as they ran through the city, passing some of its most famous landmarks along the way. The atmosphere throughout the morning was incredible, with the community coming together to celebrate, cheer each other on and raise vital funds for local charities.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who ran as part of Team Read With Me, including staff, pupils, parents, alumni and the Chair of Governors from The King’s School, Gloucester, alongside staff from Hillside Primary School. We were also delighted to be joined by volunteers, corporate partners, supporters from The Gloucester and Forest of Dean Children and Family Centres and Dame Clare Marchant, Vice Chancellor of the University of Gloucestershire.

We would also like to thank everyone who has donated, cheered us on, liked, commented and helped spread the word – every bit of support has made a real difference. And of course, thank you to Run Gloucester, who always do a brilliant job of organising the race.
