Making a Donation

When you make a donation, we’ll store your contact details for up to 6 months so that we can contact you to thank you personally. This also makes it easier for you to get in touch with us if you have any issues once you’ve made your donation.

If your donation is made through a third-party site such as PayPal or DonorBox, they may also store your details for a short period of time. We only receive your name, donation amount, email address and phone number from them (we also receive a custom message if you decide to write one when you make your donation). You will be informed of their privacy policy and terms when you make the donation.

Using the Online Shop

When you place an order for a physical or virtual product with us, we’ll store the personal data you enter to help us process your order and support your experience with us. We’ll keep this data for a short period of time afterwards just in case you change your mind or want to get in touch.

Your payment is managed separately through a payment vendor such as PayPal. Their privacy policy and terms are available to read when you complete the transaction.

We will never share your data or any of your details with any external companies not listed in this policy.

Registering to be a Volunteer

When you register to become a volunteer, we’ll store the data you provide us with on our secure Volunteer Management System. We’ll also use Google Drive, and its apps for handling data. We’ll need to pass some of your data to schools we work with, as well as any organisation that we are required to by law. We won’t pass your data to any other parties.

We’ll keep these details for as long as you continue to volunteer with us. If you stop volunteering, we will keep your data for up to 6 months just in case you change your mind or we need to complete any follow up paperwork. You can contact us to request deletion of your data at any point.

A note on cookies: when you sign up through our online webform, your browser will automatically save cookies, just in case you need to stop and return to the form. This allows you to resume where you left, to save you having to start from the beginning. If you have an issue with this, please speak to our Volunteer Liaison Manager.
